Moxier Mail: Exchange met direct push voor Android G1

Emtrace heeft een oplossing aangekondigd waarmee je voor het eerst push e-mail via Exchange ActiveSync op je Android-toestel kunt ontvangen. Moxier Mail Beta is op dit moment al beschikbaar in de Android Market. Bezitters van een G1 of ander Android-toestel krijgen daarmee toegang tot informatie op de Microsoft Exchange-server, inclusief volledige ondersteuning van direct push. Volgens ontwikkelaar Emtrace werkt Moxier Mail net als ActiveSync op een Windows Mobile-toestel. Je kunt e-mail ontvangen, beantwoorden en schrijven op de G1 en verzenden naar je Exchange-server.

Nog niet bekend is of je met de applicatie ook berichten op de server kunt doorzoeken en je agenda en contactpersonen kunt synchroniseren.

Op dit moment kun je Moxier Mail Beta gratis installeren en tot 31 maart 2009 gebruiken. Uiteindelijk zal het waarschijnlijk een betaalde applicatie worden. Waarschijnlijk wacht Emtrace nog even tot betaalde applicaties in Android Market zijn toegestaan.
